1: What is your name and your job?

My name is Simon, I am the principle photographer for de M Photography.

2: Why portrait photography?

There are many reasons why I am passionate about portrait photography. Though it all starts with the individual or group who have decided to commission me to take their portrait. First each commission is unique as everyone we are all individuals. Then the reason and circumstances for arranging the portrait experience are unique. Once we have discussed the objectives of the experience I enjoy the collaborative creative process of portrait shoot. Though the absolute best part of any portrait commission is the reveal when I get to show you the finished images.

3: What Influences your photographic style?

My photographic style has many influences and is combination of my life experience and through studying the work of other artists. At the core my pictures take cues from fashion, mixed with simplicity of composition and sprinkled with the magic of the unconventional. My aim is always to capture the inner essence of the people I am photographing.

4: What is your favourite colour?

Purple. To be honest I have two favourite colours Red and Blue but as I had to pick one its the combination of the two colours.

5: Favourite Food?

Asian Fusion. I love the vibrant colours of the ingredients on the plate and the food tastes amazing.
